| Platform | What you get |

| Android 8.0 or later | An APK to install on the phone, steps below. Open the email on the phone. Choose Android |
Licence
24 hours free, then one month free for your feedback
- 24-hour demo. Install and start: every function works at once, no key needed.
- One month free. Open Help > License (Windows) or tap the badge at the top right (Android) and send us the device fingerprint with Request a license key, by WhatsApp or email. In exchange for your feedback you receive a key valid for one month.
- After that. Keys for a number of months or permanent. Ask for a quotation using the contact form.
Without a valid key the app switches to read-only: you can still view, refresh and export, but nothing is changed on the firewall. Each key works only on the PC or phone whose fingerprint it was issued for.
Clean software
No viruses, no ads, no hidden code
Device Manager for SonicWall contains no viruses, no advertising, no trackers and no hidden code. It talks only to your firewall and, for the licence and update checks, to antennapilot.com. Your firewall data, device lists and passwords stay on your PC or phone.
Windows and Android both offer to scan a file that does not come from an official store. Let them scan it: that is exactly what the check is for, and it will come back clean. If you want a second opinion, you can also upload the file to VirusTotal before installing.
Windows
Installing on Windows
- Open the link from the email on the PC and download the file. Microsoft Defender scans it automatically.
- It is a single program file, no installer. Copy it to a folder you can write to, for example
Documents\Device Manager, so that updates can replace it later. - Start it. Because the program is new and not yet widely downloaded, Windows may show Windows protected your PC. Click More info, then Run anyway.
- Open File > Settings, enter the firewall address, user and password, click Test connection, then Reload groups from firewall and tick the groups you use.
Android
Installing on Android
The app is not on Google Play, so Android treats it as an app from an unknown source. That only means it was not downloaded from a store; the steps below take two minutes.
Samsung Galaxy: turn off Auto Blocker first
On Samsung phones with One UI 6.1.1 or later, Auto Blocker is on by default and stops every app that does not come from Google Play or the Galaxy Store. With Auto Blocker on, the installation is refused with a message that the app cannot be installed.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Security and privacy.
- Scroll down and tap Auto Blocker.
- Turn the switch off and confirm if the phone asks.
Menu names can differ slightly between models and One UI versions. On phones of other brands there is no Auto Blocker; go straight to the next steps.
Install the app
- Open the email with your download link on the phone and tap the button. If the browser warns that the file might be harmful, tap Download anyway.
- Open the downloaded file from the notification, or from My Files > Downloads.
- The first time, Android asks to allow the browser or the file manager to install apps. Tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then go back.
- Tap Install. If Google Play Protect offers to scan the app, tap Scan app and let it finish, then tap Install. If Play Protect says the app is unknown to it, tap More details and Install anyway.
- Open the app and allow notifications and the camera when asked. The camera is used only to read MAC addresses; the image never leaves the phone.
Afterwards
- Turn Auto Blocker back on (Samsung). The app keeps working.
- If you want, switch off Allow from this source again for the browser or file manager.
- In the app open Menu > Settings, enter the firewall address, user and password, tap Test connection, then Reload groups from firewall. The phone must be on a network that reaches the firewall management interface, usually the ship Wi-Fi.
Updates
At every start the app checks antennapilot.com for a newer version and offers it. On Samsung phones, an app from outside the stores cannot be updated while Auto Blocker is on: turn it off for the update, then back on. Your settings and device list are kept.
Firewall
One setting on the SonicWall
In SonicOS go to Device > Settings > Administration > Audit/SonicOS API and enable SonicOS API and RFC-2617 HTTP Basic Access authentication. The app opens a configuration session only for the few seconds of each operation, then closes it.
